The first step in hunting for a job is getting all your information together, a proper resume and supporting documents. Your resume needs to be no more than one page long as should be printed on high quality paper.

Nothing beats going business to business to fill out applications and drop off copies of your resume. And many people forget the importance of networking through friends and families. Let everyone that you know that you are looking for employment, you never know who knows someone who is relatd to someone who works for a business that is hiring right now.
While many businesses do not list job openings.The first step in job hunting is normally a visit to the Department of Labor for most people. Even if you are not unemployed the Department of Labor is a good first stop for a listing of local job openings
